Pragati Scholarship 2025: Empowering Girls in Technical Education

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers the Pragati Scholarship to support and encourage girls pursuing technical education. This initiative aims to

empower young women by providing financial assistance throughout their academic journey.

Scholarship Benefits

Amount: ₹50,000 per annum.

Duration:

Up to 4 years for students admitted in the first year of a degree course.

Up to 3 years for diploma students admitted in the first year.

For lateral entry students:

3 years for degree courses.

2 years for diploma courses.

Usage: The scholarship covers expenses such as tuition fees, purchase of books, equipment, software, laptops, and other educational materials.

Eligibility Criteria

Gender: Only female students are eligible.

Course Admission:

Admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma course.

Admitted to the second year through lateral entry in AICTE-approved institutions.

Family Income: Annual income should not exceed ₹8,00,000.

Family Limit: A maximum of two girl children per family can avail of the scholarship.

Bank account passbook.
Aadhaar card.
Income certificate issued by a competent authority.
Caste certificate (if applicable).
